no free shipping for one category

now all categories have free shipping if the amount is bigger than 50 $. But now I need that shipping isn't free for only one category.
how?

For Free Shipping over $50.00 are you using the Modules ... Order Totals ... Shipping ot_shipping ... and setting it there?

if I have a mixed cart that includes multiple products from multiple categories including this one I have a free shipping eligible cart.
i use freeoptions.php for shipping (over $50 and under 10lbs).

So are you then just needing to block the Free Shipping for over $50.00 when the "whole" cart is from this one category? :unsure:

Now you added another condition ...

1 Whole Cart from categories_id XX

2 Amount over $50.00

3 Weight under 10 lbs

What happens if the weight is over 10lbs?

And is that 10lbs only associated with this 1 category being the only category of the Products in the cart?

One of the problems is that the test for the Free Shipping based on order over $XXX.XX is that it is tested in 3 places:
/includes/modules/order_total/ot_shipping.php
/includes/modules/pages/checkout_shipping/header_php.php
/includes/modules/shipping_estimator.php

Sometimes it is better to look at giving a Free Shipping Option freeoptions where your normal shipping methods show and a Free Shipping Option shows at the same time ...

This allows for more flexibility and less changes to the code, plus provides for the customer a choice of Slow Boat Free Shipping or picking another shipping method that is faster, such as if you use USPS or UPS ...
