how to make sub categories to show by default?

hello ,
i would like to know that , is there a way to show sub categories by default ... i mean that they should be visible without clicking on the main category...

You want an expanded categories mod. Look in Free Addons; there is also one I recommend at http://plone.held-im-ruhestand.de/software/zen-cart-categories

Just be aware that it creates a single <ul> list for all of the categories and subcats, with no nesting to distinguish category level.
