Maximum allowed number of products

Hi,

does anyone know what is the maximum allowed number of products the zen-cart can support. 1,000, 10,000 or 100,000... is there a theoretical limit and perhaps more importantly, is there a realistic limit before cart performance is seriously effected.

There is really no theoretical limit; sites exist with several hundred thousand products. Obviously the more products you have, and especially the more attributes associated with products, the more you need to optimize your server for speed. The number depends on your particular setup.
