change the shopping cart item name

I have searched for some time and cant find anything on this - if someone would point me in the direction of the answer or give me some help i would app.

In the shopping cart contents screen
and in the item name column i need a good discription of my item.

I believe currenlty is just the product name under item name.
I need for it to include and in this order:
product name; manufacturer name; model number; shorter discription than what I have on my product page.

something like:

Elegant Flowers Dimensions 6517 color enhanced crewel

the first should be a bit more straight forward than the last catagory which not even on the product page. But it is very inportant that this info is included on the invoice.

We are working very hard at going live - but not there yet want to get security down hard befroe we go there.

This is in the total layout of the shoping cart contents.The listing in the shopping cart only shows the product name. I gues I assumed this was standard. Although I need all the information to identify the product being purchsed - If you need to see the site we may have to revisit this when we go live which will be hopefully in the next week or two.

When we go live there is alot of issues that will need to be addressed - how do I allow zenners to view the site but prevent customers from finding things and attempting to order?

You could set the site to Down for Maintenance and set the IP Address for those allowed to see it ...

Note: things like PayPal that need to access the site cannot do so when down-for-maintenance ...
