Side borders/columns like zen cart home page

Im trying to make site borders/columns that move like the http://www.zen-cart.com/ ones(the white bits on the very left and right hand sides of the page). The thing I like about the left and right borders is the fact that the page itself is fluid however it has set borders or should I call them columns? anyway... how can I do this?

I dont have a site link at this time sorry (localhost).

In your stylesheet, the declarations that control the size, location and appearance of borders in style ID's, are (believe it or not) called "border".

(If you want ROUNDED corners... that's a bit more of a challenge :cry: )

Thanks for the reply... searching my css for 'border' throws up 31 matches :wacko: ? Im not to sure which 'border' is the one I'm after

How would I control the size and colour of the left and right borders on the stylesheet?

Would it be the #mainWrapper ones? i.e something like
border-left: 20px; ?? forgive me if this looks like a load of poop :blink:

And although yes I would love rounded corners on my site, I gave up that idea months ago due to reading so many threads on how tough it is to try and get them to work!!

get the FIREFOX BROWSER, then get a few add-ons for it - Like FIREBUG, COLORZILLA and WEB DEVELOPER TOOLKIT.

Then you can use these tools to do offline edits, page analytics, and much more.

These tools will enable you to see what style ID's and Classes apply to what elements... and you can make tweaks to your stylesheet while a page is onscreen (to see what the effect will be).

Then, when you are satisfied with your edits, you can copy them to the live stylesheet.
