Banners only on main page

Make the banner the right size and it will be correct ... :smile:

There isn't an adjustment for the banner size on these, as they display as they are ...

What do you mean right side ? You mean "standing" banner like
my "free shipping" banner and not center banner like my "people" banner ? Hope not...:(

But that is impossible !
Right now it is good for 1024px width but bad for 1200px.
When I made the banner in 1200px it was bad for 1024px screen - came out of the screen.
There must be a good solution for this.

You are going to need to make better quality images and size them correctly ...

Your image quality is very poor and trying to resample it to a larger size makes that poor quality stand out even more ...

You could also take your image and size it a little smaller, to reduce the apparent poor quality and then duplicate it in your image software so that it repeats for a wider display ...

Better qualty images will be done later but now I do not see
my banner "adibg" changed with screen wide !

I allready made this banner picture to be wider, suitable for ~1200px
screen but then when looked in 1024px screen, all was a mass,
the banner picture gone out to the right side.
Even now, this banner is good for 1024px but if you will look in
800px screen, you will see it is going out to the right. No adjusting at all.
I want this banner to fit customers screens.

Tried to post in other thread but did not receive any solution.
I made a fluid site and solved the header fluid issue
but did not solve the Wide AD Banner ! I want this ad banner
to be also fluid.
When large resolution customers enter my site, the banner looks
very short.
If I make the file wider, on smaller resolution it makes a mess
with scorling etc'.
I am sure that it can be solved and I think fluid site is the more
proffessional site :)

As a follow up to this, if you want the banner to show up only on certain pages aside from the home page, how does the naming convention go?

Be certain to backup your files AND your database FIRST.

Let's add more banner group name character space...
Admin > Tools > Install SQL Patches

ALTER TABLE banners MODIFY COLUMN banners_group VARCHAR(32);

(the original length is 15 characters)

Next add a banner to the top of every checkout page:

Admin > Configuration > Layout Settings > Banner Display Group - Header Position 3

Admin > Tools > Banner Manager

Click: New Banner

Fill out the necessary fields for your banner...

Enter the new banner group: bannerCheckout

In HTML Text add the CSS style with your preferred text:
