Personalised Products - User Input Field

hi,

I've yet to delve into zen cart but before i do i need something confirming.

I sell personalised products, so when a user purchase an item, they can input the name o be engraved on that product at the time of purchase by a text input field. I currenlty can do thsi via paypal "add to cart" buttons, but i want to make the next step.

Can Zen cart handle this? if so, how? does anyone have any examples?

Don't have an example but , yes, Zen Cart handles this well.

The product is the thing to be engraved - a plaque or a cup or whatever.

The text of the engraving is set up as an attribute of that product so that customers can add what they want and their input appears in the order.

You can even add a price per letter into the mix too.
