My images won't load

My store directory is root, I use define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', '/');
but my image site is empty Why??? :frusty:

Your stylesheets won't load because of a permissions problem:

http://www.localkingdomsite.com/includes/templates/darkness/css/stylesheet.css
"You don't have permission to access /includes/templates/darkness/css/stylesheet.css on this server."
