Emails suddenly stopped sending with GoDaddy

My site is hosted with GoDaddy. Today, emails are no longer getting sent from ZenCart. Order confirmations aren't going out, and I've even gone into the Admin and tried to send an email to a known customer (me).

Emails aren't getting generated. I've verified that the email account in question can send and receive emails. I'm at a loss as to how to even begin.

I did contact GoDaddy and they say everything is fine on the server.

I have not made any changes between when it was working and now.

If GoDaddy tells you everything is fine and they have full access to your account, what kind of reply do you expect here based on your input?

1. Check your apache error log for any suggestions regardding the problem.

2. Check the email configuration.

2a. Change the email transport method and check if emails work.

3. Try to send an email with the admin email tool.

4. Report what type of error you get and tell us how your email is configured.

Have you installed the latest patch? If not, it's possible you've been hacked. Check your images folder for php scripts.

Thanks all for the feedback. I switched modes from PHP to smtp and it's working. But I hate not knowing why it suddenly stopped working in PHP mode.

To answer some of the questions... I had installed the latest patches 1.3.8 a while back. Just to be safe, I checked and didn't find any php scripts in the images directory.

   (Not sure how to do this via GoDaddy tools, and their support hasn't been helpful.)

(That did the trick, but still no idea why it suddenly stopped working in PHP mode. I've switched back and forth, smtp works, PHP doesn't.)

   (That's the problem. There weren't any errors. When sending from the admin console, I got the message at the top of the screen that the email was sent.)

If you really want to know why you cant send email with PHP you have to check the error log.

Read this article how to enable and view the error logs. Then try to send and email with PHP and check if there is an error. Also check that the email is not in the spam folder!

If there is no error, its hard to fix the problem.
