How to add another comment like box on the checkout pages?

Hi all,

I am running a gifts shop and want to add a texbox or a drop down where the user can specify the occassion or the theme like Birthday, New Year, Christmas, etc so that we can arrange for a similar arrangement with the gift like a greeting card . Any mod or a script wud be great. Please help.

Thanks in advance,
Harshit

Re: How to add another comment like box on the checkout pages?

Do you really want the Additional Comment to be "1 per Order" or do you want it on "Each Product"?

My Cousin's Birthday is on Dec 25th and my Neice is December 27th and I still want to buy them both Christmas Presents, in addition to my other 2nd cousin who is being raise jewish so celebrates Hanukkah ...

Now I have 4 Products and 1 is for each Birthday and 2 are for Christmas and 1 for Hanukkah ... so what do you expect in the new Additional Comment box about this? Wouldn't it have been better to have had that in each Product instead?

Re: How to add another comment like box on the checkout pages?

I had a web design company do exactly what you want for my sites.

I have a delivery date picker, a drop down occasion box and a gift message area that augment the existing special instructions area.

This was not a simple mod - not only was the checkout area modified, but also the admin order area and the confirmation emails.

PM me if want more details.
