Running a Unique Sale

Greetings. This is my first post. Thanks for taking the time to read it.

I'm trying to create a sale for a customer. They would like to offer a monetary discount if their customer purchases three or more of a particular item.

For example, if they normally sell a certain candle for $6.99, they want to offer the customer a discounted price ($5.99) if they buy three or more of those candles. How I set up ZC to calculate this properly?

I tinkered around with catalog/salemaker, but what I put in didn't work.

Furthermore, I'd like to apply the sale to ONE product, and not all the products by a specific manufacture. Salemaker didn't give me that option, that I could see. How can I select items in a SUB-category instead of the entire manufacturer? Thank you.

Paul

Re: Running a Unique Sale

Use "quantity discounts", with a breakpoint at 3 items. See the tutorial: How do I add quantity discounts to my products?
