How/Where do I edit the ezpages sidebox layout/colour/margins... etc?

Hello,

Im looking to change a few layout settings for the ezpages sidebox. I can't find any posts on the forums that detail how to do this.

Basically I want to use the ezpage sidebox as a my 'Information' sidebox as I have read that doing it this way makes it much easier to add/remove links. HOWEVER...

I need to change a few layout features of the ezpages sidebox:

#1 Remove the current block layout style (all I really want is just basic text links that change colour when hovered... nothing fancy)

#2 The text hover colour (via stylesheet?)

#3 Remove the '-' before every link so instead of '- Site Map' it's just 'Site Map'

So basically I want the ezpages sidebox to look as much like the standard 'Information' sidebox as possible... as after all effectively what I am trying to create with your help is an Admin side controllable Information sidebox.

Very sorry but I don't have a link for you guys at the moment as the site is hosted locally. I know this is a big pain in the ######## but please do your best :smile:

Since we can't see it, how much styling have you done on the site yet? Does the sidebox still look like the "Classic" template? Did you install a template, and if so, which one? Posting a screenshot of that area will be better than nothing. We may need to see relevant parts of your stylesheet, but don't post the whole thing at this time.

At the moment I currently have the 'trublu' template installed.

I have included a screenshot of the current ezpages sidebox including a demonstation of the hover function at the top (named 'Information' aswell) and the current actual Information sidebox (which I would like the ezpages sidebox to look like)

I recognize those dashes. You have the betterCategoriesEZInfo mod installed, so you should look at its readme (if you have it) or its support thread for tips on how to manage its display. You may be able to just remove a file or flip a switch to remove the mod's effect on the ez-pages box.

The hover color will probably revert to matching the stock information box, but if it doesn't, use the Firefox Web Developer extension's Display Element Information button to find the classname that applies to the ez-page box links. That will be what you need to style.
