Shiping Percent ?

Hello all hope you can help me here as I am trying to get my cart to calculate shipping correct.

I am using table rate to calculate shipping at 6% and that seems to be working but I want to change my prices on the procucts to something lower for example:

I have a product for $36.00 that is retail price. I want to change that to $30.00 and calculate the shipping off the retail price which is $36.00 not off the $30 or reduced price.

Can someone point me in the right direction thanks

I doubt if you can do that, and don't understand why you would want to. The shipping table rate will be based on the actual price of the product.

because the company bases everything off the retail price even if we sell it at a lower price.

The shipping modules, such as Table Rate table, use the Order Total for the Price of the order:

$order_total = $_SESSION['cart']->show_total() - $_SESSION['cart']->free_shipping_prices() ;

You want to base this on Product Price, prior to all discounts ...

Do you use Priced by Attribute or normal pricing on your Products?

Do you use Sales and Specials or just Specials?
