install zen cart with old database

I installed zencart and put about 90 products on it and backed up my database but my site had major problems now the store is not correct. I reinstalled zen cart on a new domain and I want to use the old database so I dont have to redo all the work. Is there an easy way to get zen cart to point to the old database instead of the one it creates when you install it. Where do I copy the database to or how do I get this working. Thanks so much.

1. Export the old database with MyPhPAdmin

2. Drop all tables in the database of the new Zencart installation (Backup before if you think you might need it later)

3. Import the database backup into the new emtpy database.

4. Done

You will have to edit your configure files if the database user, prefix, host, name or password is not the same.
