Do I use seo URL or normal URL when adding an internal link?

Ok so I want to add an internal Contact Us link to my footer via ezpages, I have seo urls installed. Do i use '/index.php?main_page=contact_us' for the link or simply '/contact_us.html' ??

I have chosen to use '/contact_us.html' it seems to be working ok at the moment.

I wish somone could confirm for me that this is either the right or wrong way of doing it though :dontgetit

Use the SEO url. It will just convert to the normal URL when clicked, but will appear nicer on the client's side.
