Error: Catalog images directory does not exist

I am using ZenCart version 1.3.6.
We thought this may have something to do with our hosting company, Open Source Host, because there was a problem with our security certificate. However, that problem has been resolved.
BUt, when I visit the catalog category of the ZenCart admin section, the top displays a red line that says
"Error: Catalog images directory does not exist: /home/roys1974/public_html/shop/images/"
And all of the images on our shopping cart are not visible from the customers view, and when visiting the page to edit a product, every category below "Products Model" is not visible.

We were informed of this problem by a customer on Tuesday, October 20th.

Hopefully you can help us figure out what the problem is and we get it resolved quickly.

Well the error is correct as you appear to have misplace your images directory.

They are genuinely 404 missing along w/ the directory.

I had not updated or changed anything on our Zen Cart for at least 3 weeks prior to this problem occuring, which is part of the reason I'm rather confused by it. This was set up by a former employee who is much more tech savvy than I, and he was slightly confused by it too.

Any suggestions on how to fix the problem?
