Shipping - Australia and International

Hello,

I am looking for some help in setting up my shipping.

I am a little bit confused with zones / zone definitions etc.

Basically what I am wanting to do is.

1. One table rate for all shipping within Australia:

• 0-250g AUD$6.00
• 250g-500g AUD$8.00
• 500g-3kg AUD $10.00
• 3kg-5kg AUD $20.00
• 5kg-8kg AUD $30.00

• 8kg AUD $50.00

2. One table rate for all international shipping:

• 0-500g AUD $50
• 500g-1kg AUD $60
• 1kg-2kg AUD $70
• 2kg-3kg AUD $80

• 3kg AUD $120

Would someone be able to assist me with this one?

You can use the Zone Rate zones shipping module and setup the 1st Zone for AU ...

Set the second Zone for 00, meaning anyone else not otherwise defined ...

Then set the Zone rates up for the shipping that you want to do ...

Shipping weights do not work for mixed weight without customizing them to translate from grams to Kg ... so you would need to write a translation for this ...

If all is set in grams, you would need to alter the Maximum Weight, as again the weight is a unit of measure ... not a true weight ... so being set to 50 lbs is not really 50 lbs as there isn't a translation from grams to pounds ...

So, if your shop was all in grams you would need to set that value high enough to manage the weight as if everything were grams ...

As you appear to only be using Zone Rate zones you could set that to 999999 and the Tare Rates to 0:0 so that they do not interfer with the weight calculations ...
