HTML Code showing up in Product Listing

I'm having a difficult time trying to figure out how to get all of the garbage out of the product listing. I would really prefer if it did not pull from the product page itself, if that is an option. But if it has to, I don't want it pulling the html code like it is doing currently.

Can anyone help?

This can be turned off in the admin>configuration>product listings>descriptions set this value to 0...

thank you, I see that, it limits the number of characters to be dislplayed.

What I really want is the ability to make my own descriptions in this area, that arent pulled from anywhere else.
Would that be a mod? if so, which one?

There are several mods that will let you do this, some in Free Addons and some posted in threads in the forum. I don't remember the exact titles; you can probably search as effectively as I can. There was one that I posted - I'll see if I can find it.
