What About Image url Paths??

I have a question for you pertaining to transferring Zen Cart store to another domain/server. This has to do with the image url's applied to the testing site before transferring.

I have added several images within catagory description pages (where I had to manually add a image link for the image on server). Will I need to change the url on every image I have uploaded or when the new database and store is created, will the links automatically change to new domain name?

In your opinion, what would be the best way to handle the images?

If you're using the default built-in methods of how product/category images are presented, then there will be no special handling required when moving to a new server, since the image paths are all built based on the settings of whichever server you're on.
Follow the tutorial mentioned and there should be no changes required.

If you've got addons installed that change the way Zen Cart handles images, you may have to make other adjustments based on how those addons work. Hopefully they're documented in the addon's readme files etc.

Here are the mods I have added to the site I plan to transfer once completed: Image Handler2
Swap Images via MouseOver or Click
and planning to add the additional image title mod.

Do you think the change-over will effect the mods?

I'm only asking because I'd like to have some sort of idea what is ahead of me so I cna make the switch over much easier and less issues if I know what sort of issues that may occur. This is a site I am building for someone and had to place on my server to build. They wanted to see what the site would look like before they tranferred the DNS.

I didn't know of any other way to do this.

Additional Image Titles uses Zen Cart functions and constants where needed to ensure that it is fully portable. I can't speak for the other mods, but they will probably be ok.
