Disabled credit card module in admin, but credit card info form still appears on site

I disabled offline credit card processing because I don't want to pay the SSL certificate fee at this time.

However, my checkout still shows an option for my customers to input their credit card. I turned credit card module to false, then uninstalled it. The admin shows a red button next to accept offline credit cards and other credit card acceptance. As this is the case, the option for customers to input their credit information should not be showing on my website. I'm using the Its Christmas template.

That's not a Zen Cart bug. It's a misunderstanding of how things work.

MANY payment modules place credit card fields on the checkout payment page.

  1. If you're not using a certain module, click the "Remove" button, don't just set status to false.
  2. If you're seeing modules/things you don't want, turn off ALL the modules, and then turn on the ones you want one-by-one and test the effects.
