Buy Now Buttons??

Hi all!

Using v 1.3.8a and am trying to turn off the "Buy Now"
buttons showing up on my Products Listing summary for
one category of products.

I know the control is somewhere in the Admin panel
because I turned these buttons "ON" some time back
but I now want to turn them "OFF."

Could someone please refresh my memory as to where
they are found?

Found the buttons (ADMIN>Configuration>All Listing> "Display Product Buy Now Button" = 0 ) and turned them OFF but the change does not seem to be taking.

Is there any reason these buttons would still appear after turning the switch OFF?

Peek at the Configuration ... Product Listing ...

Display Product Add to Cart Button (0=off; 1=on; 2=on with Qty Box per Product)
Do you want to display the Add to Cart Button?

NOTE: Turn OFF Display Multiple Products Qty Box Status to use Option 2 on with Qty Box per Product

Thanks as always for your help!

The ADMIN>Product Info page governs the set up of the
individual product listing pages if I understand correctly, e.g., tpl_product_info.php and tpl_product_free_shipping_info.php.

The page I am looking to change is a summary page showing all items in a category. It is the page I am delivered to when I click on a Product Type navigation link at the top of my cart home page. The listing shows the Price, Item Name and a number of other things when they are turned on. It is driven by tpl_index_product_list.php

The button being displayed by each product choice in the category is button_buy_now.gif.

On my product pages, the add to cart buttons are enabled so people can buy the stuff.

This page is presented before people reach the individual product pages.

That is why you need to look at the Configuration ... Product Listing ...

There are different settings for each different listing and input area ...

My apologies Linda,

After looking again at the >ADMIN>Configuration>Product Info settings I find button options for Prev-Next navigation buttons but no button settings for adding items to cart or "buy now" on the category summary page.

There is a "Button Status" on/off switch, but that to is linked to Prev-Next Navigation buttons, or so it says.

Please tell me what I am missing.

Use the right menu choice ...

Look at Configuration ... Product Listing ... NOT Product Info ... NOT All Products ...

If you want to adjust the Product Listing ... where you are navigating the Categories ... you must edit the settings on the Product Listing ...

See if that works better for you ...
