Formatting Issues - Can't Figure it Out!!

Hi,

I am having some formatting issues on my Zen cart front end.

Some of the dashes and spaces that appear normal in the back end of the catalog (even on the page preview), appear as black boxes containing question marks in the front end.

http://code1web.com/reg/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=9_1_19&products_id=78

I have also noted that the item description is shifted pretty far to the right.

Can someone please provide me with some direction to fix this?

Thanks!!!!

Rich

did you do a copy and paste of your description from a word processor like MS Word or something?

Grab the HTML (not off the zencart page but from the program you used to create the original)...

... and paste it here, encased with [CODE] tags

Could it have something to with character encoding? My firefox browser was set to Western (ISO-8859-1) and was seeing what you describe. I changed it to western (windows 1252) and things look normal on your page.

You can find this in the tool bar View > character encoding.

I don't know what this means as far as zencart, your descriptions, the database and your viewers.

Re: Formatting Issues - Can't Figure it Out!!

You are inserting ACTUAL double quotes around some elements:

"Tactical Medicine"

Should be...

"Tactical Medicine"
