extra shipping zones not showing

i have followed all the advice about adding more shipping zones, about removing it then re-installing the module, i have changed the figure to 12 but still only 3 are showing.

can anybody pls help?

When you hit EDIT, do you see the new blank input boxes for the additional 9 Zones?

Check the file on the Server and make sure your change is in the file ...

no , all i see is the usual 3 zones

the zones have appeared now, but i am getting this message showing now :"The shipping rate cannot be determined at this time"

Can you post the settings that you have for the Zone Rate zones shipping module?

error was due to tare weight being incorrect, but now i have a new problem.

so far i have been able to change lb(s) to gr(s)
add more zones,

but now i want to create a new shipping module that doesnt use the tare weight, but simply adds various shipping costs that i specify to the price of the item without having to specify any tare weight.?

Could you break this other shipping method down in more detail?

A long winded example would be helpful ... :smile:

all i want is to use the price of the item and add the shipping cost(which i have already worked out) without using the tare.

so for instance if i have a product which costs 350euros and i have 3 different weight costs say for instance:centag

upto 100grs is 8.88 euros for shipping
upto 250 grs is 9.90 euros
and upto 500grs is 11.55 euros.

then i want these values added to the cost of the item without have to use tare weight and percentages.

for example :
product 'x' costs 350 euros and weighs 300grs, then this would be

350+11.55=365.55euros

this is exactly what i am after.

But, are you trying to have one weight based shipping module WITH Tare and one weight based shipping module WITHOUT Tare? :unsure:

i dont want to use tare at all, its too complicated for me.

i just want to create a module which shows a product price and a shipping price which varies depending on weight, but which i specify, not using tare weight, i already know the shipping costs.

again it would be:

350euros (item price) then,
depending on the weight(which i will weigh at home)
i want to specify that for products under 100grs charge 8.88 euros shipping

upto 250grs charge 9.90
and upto 500grs charge 11.55euros

Then set the Tare rates to 0:0 ... and Maximum Weight to 5000 so that it does not alter the specific break down that you want ...

Use Table Rate table or Zone Rate zones depending on the number of rates you need ...

Set to Weight, then configure with:
100:8.88, 250:9.90, 500:11.55

What is suppose to happen over 500? Without a setting it will go to 0.00 ...

nothing most of the items are not as heavy a 500grs,

ok so i set tare weight to 0:0 on both and max weight to 5000 and what i got was: "the shipping rate cannot be determined at this time-
€0.00"

so where am i going wrong??
