Duplicate orders at checkout

I'm not sure I listed this query in the right section, but I am having trouble with the "confirm order" button being clicked twice by accident and so multiple orders and charges occur.

Is there a way to hide the "confirm order" button at the final step of checkout so that this does not happen while the person waits for their order to process?
