Digital Downloads/Alert Pay

Regardless of the payment method, and even a free item.
All digital download products are showing up as pending.

1. Is there a way to have customers who have paid, get their digital item immediately after they pay?

I have changed in alertpay, the order status, to both 3 and 4, and neither allow the customer to have their download right after purchase.

2. AlertPay. does the alertpay module not tell the zencart script a digital download product was paid for?
   Must I release every instant digital download product myself for the customers ability to receive it?

3. Is there anyway to make zencart rum smoothly by being only a digital download store?

If any one has any help, answers, or suggestions... please leave them in detail so I dont need to try and guess where and what you may be referring to.

Check that you are testing NEW orders and not OLD orders as changing the settings on the Payment Module(s) does not change existing orders ...

Thank you for that... Yes I made new orders, and still the digital item is not available for the customer to download immediately.

Do you have settings, you can recommend? For zen Cart, and payment settings?

If you set your Payment Modules to Processing (orders_status = 2) or to Delivered (orders_status = 3) then downloads should be immediately available ...

Check that your Order Status settings for Downloads are set to the defaults of >= 2 and <= 4 ... this would be in the Configuration ... Attribute Settings ...

Downloads Controller Order Status Value >= lower value
Downloads Controller Order Status Value - Default >= 2

Downloads are available for checkout based on the orders status. Orders with orders status greater than this value will be available for download. The orders status is set for an order by the Payment Modules. Set the lower range for this range.

Downloads Controller Order Status Value <= upper value
Downloads Controller Order Status Value - Default <= 4

Downloads are available for checkout based on the orders status. Orders with orders status less than this value will be available for download. The orders status is set for an order by the Payment Modules. Set the upper range for this range.

Make sure that you Download Attributes are showing the green dot next to the filename for your files ...

Im just truly at a loss, surely this has got to be a feature many need/want.

My settings are correct, yet every purchase does not offer the download.

Perhaps something's broken with one or more of your installed addons?

• When you look at one of the orders in the admin, do you see the downloadable files listed as part of the order details? Specifically, how many days and downloads are still allowed on each of them?
• Or maybe you've not actually added the download file attribute to your cart when purchasing, and thus there is no file actually attached to your orders, which would be exactly why you're not seeing any downloads available at the end of your order.

Yes, I do have a MOD on it, alertpay... One order did in fact give a download link, after I went into the order and changed it from "pending" to update, and done/complete

The others, even if I change them from pending, to something else dont offer the d/l link in their account.

I have switched the alertpay option from everything from 1 - 4
I also have the setting ajeh suggested.

No I do not see the downloadable file in their order. But I have added it in the attributes.

I have allowed 4 days, and 4 downloads.

No I do not see the downloadable file in their order.Then they didn't select it from the available attributes before they clicked Add To Cart. Thus it won't be offered for download.

Also, in the attributes controller, under the product I am testing on... the download link is there, and there is a green circle by it.

okay investigating... tyvm.

I also made an attribute of not a check box, but text only... I thought for simplicity sake if they dont need to check anything, then it would automatically provide it.

No, text-only is exactly that: text-only. It's for displaying messages, not for choosing options.

If you want something auto-selected, make it the ONLY attribute, make it a checkbox or radio-button, and tick the "default" option so that it's automatically got the checkbox checked.

okay, I think the problem is solved. I fixed what you suggested and made sure I checked that check box when buying, and the download was provided after.
