I have a template working and installed but it has disabled subcatigories

I have installed a template at my zen cart and it has disabled the sub categories from showing in the main section of the site.

For example when you clik the main category it should show the sub cats in the main area of the site. (in my site it is the largest coloum)

www.obama-bumperstickers.com

Take for example this link
http://obama-bumperstickers.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=6

it should show the subcategories text and image in the right or main column. I turned the default template on and it works fine. So I am asking where the setting may be in the css or other file so I can get the sub cats to show.

Your help is much appreciated.

Thank you

Re: I have a template working and installed but it has disabled subcatigories

It looks like the code to display the sub-category thumbnails has been removed. Check the /includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/templates/tpl_index_categories.php file there should be a part which says...

<!-- BOF: Display grid of available sub-categories, if any -->
<?php
  if (PRODUCT_LIST_CATEGORY_ROW_STATUS == 0) {
    // do nothing
  } else {
    // display subcategories
/**
 * require the code to display the sub-categories-grid, if any exist
 */
   require($template->get_template_dir('tpl_modules_category_row.php',DIR_WS_TEMPLATE, $current_page_base,'templates'). '/tpl_modules_category_row.php');
  }
?>
<!-- EOF: Display grid of available sub-categories -->
```If in doubt, try removing the file from your template override directory so it uses the default one.
Christian.
Re: I have a template working and installed but it has disabled subcatigories
Can I just paste that code into the file tpl_index_categories.php? And will it matter where I place the code? If so please let me know.
Thank you for the quick response.
It depends on what changes (if any) have been made to the file. First, if the file exists in your override directory, take a copy of it then remove it from the override directory. See if that fixes your problem. You may not need to override that file.
Christian.
I am not sure what the override directory is can you explain that and where it is.
And if I understand correctly I am to just delete the file from this override folder?
