PLEASE HELP-Cloning my zencart site

Hello,

Can someone help me out with something? I had a custom template created for a zencart site that is up and running now. I would like to take that same site design and use it on another domain. I have aded a bunch of modles to it and would like those to also be uploaded to the new site.

How would I go about doing this? Do I just back up the site then uploaded it to the new site? I would like both sites to run at once however each store will have different product.

If you don't have the customizations and the template documented, then my recommendation would be to do a full file and DB backup of your current store, and restore that backup to the new domain. This will clone your store on the new site. There will be some changes you'll have to make to the config files, such as the passwords for the DB and such, but it should be easier than trying to mimic the first site piece at a time.

After that maneuver, you'll want to delete all of the customers, products and history from the new site so that it is its own store. I'm sure there are posts around on that subject, I haven't looked myself.

This may not be the most elegant solution, but it is the one that I would use in your situation.
