removing tag line

please can somebody tell me how to remove the tag line from the header.

There are over three-quarters of a million posts on this forum. I guess 5% of them ask your question, (and answer it).

Surely you have searched for the answer? :yes:

i did do a search "remove tag line" but couldnt see anything.

Sorry... I sound a little smug... That is unfair on someone who's new. Please accept my apologies!

There is a lot of Start-up help in the Tutorials/Faq . You should spend some time there looking for solutions to common issues.

I'm having issues with this same thing. I did find the tutorial and have modified all the files index.php metatag.php and header.php

I changed all of the areas suggested and dumped my cache and the reloaded the page and the messages are still original, TAGLINE HERE and Congratulations and the browser bar is still saying ZEN CART

What on earth am I doing wrong?

I look at the file on the server through my ftp client and it is correct but then I reload the page and it shows the old stuff, how is this possible?

What version of Zen Cart are you using?

What template are you using?

What text editor are you using to edit the files?

What FTP client are you using to upload the changes?

What folders are you uploading the changes to?

To change the page title and tagline, you should be editing includes/languages/english/YOUR_TEMPLATE/meta_tags.php (where YOUR_TEMPLATE is the name of your custom template).

Using Note Pad for an editor
FTP is Filezilla

It's an easy mistake to make. I'm glad you got it sorted out. :smile:
