I can NOT Make it Work Please Help

I have a new installation Zen Cart v1.3.8a/v1.3.8.
I can not make it work. The problem is I have No shopping basket.
I did configured my store.I've set up a regular PayPal payment and past the info to my PayPal account.I did added the products what I can see is all there.But it is No Log in option at all, and when I wanna buy those products I have No Buy or what ever button. All I have is : Tell a friends about us, Write a review, and Contact us.
So there is no Buy it or Add to Cart option.
Can somebody help me please ?

What is your setting in the Admin> Configuration> My Store?

I clicked on this because my Add to Cart button wasn't showing. So, it seemed I was having similar problems as the original poster. So, I saw the - what is your Admin settings and went there to see what the problem is.

If this is what is going on with you - the add to cart button isn't showing - check your Admin - Configuration - My Store - Store Status. I checked it for number 2 (for some reason) when it should have been set on Normal Store. Once, I changed it to Normal Store - my Add to Cart button showed up! Yea!! :clap:

So, thought maybe I would post just in case this is what you are asking for and that the question sparked me to solve my problem.

That was my problem too, I did changed the Store Status to Normal Store, and I've got everything work fine.

I have one more question maybe somebody able to help me.
When my customers want to log in they have to make a registration.
That is OK but what I want is I'd like to give them a user name and a password to able to log in.
This is important for me because I giving a discount to my registered customers.That is mean I do not wanna let the customers to register them self.I want a customer give me all information I need and after I wanna give them a user name and password what they can not change .
I don't know it is possible ?
