Question about importing from OScommerce

Hi,

I've just finished setting up my zen cart 1.3.8, all is working well and i have a new template installed, much nicer to be able to work with the backend with all the extra features!...

I have about 70,000 products and about 15,000 categories which i now need to transfer from oscommerce to zen cart... yep, im defintely not going to be sitting around waiting to do it manually...

Question, if i wanted to manually copy ONLY my CATEGORIES and PRODUCTS data over to zen cart in phpmyadmin... would i be correct in saying that i should transfer the contents of the following tables over :

Categories > Categories
Categories Description > Categories Description

Products > Products
Products Description > Products Description

Manufacturers > Manufacturers

I do not need to transfer any customer data etc... over, neither do i use any attribute data for my products...

Is their any prefix's or similar items i need to be aware of before i try to do this? and is their anything else i need to adjust/tweak to get everything showing up on my site?

Just out of curiosity, one of the reasons why i transferred over to ZC was because i was told that because OSC uses STS, this may have been a probable cause for my OSC home page generating about 15,000 queries onload which took about 7 seconds for the page to load, if i upload all these catsgeories into zen cart, will the same problem occur?

Thanks
