How I may change it so the ZenCart appears on our normal URL link?

Have an issue when we enter our normal url http://www.sitename.com
The new install of Zen Cart does not appear?
However when we click the button or link on the final page of the manual new install (where it says to view site) it goes to this page http://sitename.com/zen-cart/index.php instead of the normal URL of: http://www.sitename.com

Can someone assist me in how I may change this to where the ZenCart appears on our normal URL link?
Thank you.

Regards,

Hello Misty, thanks for taking the time to reply. Listen, I up-loaded all the files into a directory named /web/zen-cart as that is where the temporary index.html page was located; thus I assumed that was the correct location?

I have not installed any addons, this is the latest version of Zencart and it was installed last nite. I have loaded zencarts in the past and thought all was okay; until I attempted to load our url: www.pro-medical.net; here the zen cart does not open up. But when I click www.pro-medical.net/zen-cart; the zen cart does indeed open here.

What must I do to have zencart open when I enter our normal URL www.pro-medical.net ?
If it is moving all the files, where do I move them too? I know where they are now, but don't know where I must install them too?
Also will I have to delete this install and re-install? Or can I just actually relocate all the files without issues?

Thanks Misty (love the handle...)

Did you read the tutorial?

Move all the folders and files from the /zen-cart folder to the root (which is probably public_html). You then need to edit the configuration files to match (remove all references to /zen-cart). You shouldn't have to reinstall.

First, I as a physician, read any and all instructions in detail. Thus when I attempted this moving of files into the root folder it did not work. I attempted to change the path on the stated files, however nothing. Therefore may comments...
