combo music product selection does not work

Hi there. I am trying to present a music CD as my product, I want it to be a combo product so that the customer can select to either download MP3 or buy a CD. I added those two attributes on to my music product but when the page is presented online both options are marked selected and the customer cannot chose, so both options are added to cart!... how can I fix this??

You need 1 Option Name:
Media (or call it what you want)

You need 2 Option Values (I am going to show you 3, which is the better way):
Option Name: Media
Option Value Name: Pick a Media Method (or some such wording)
Sort Order 0

Option Name: Media
Option Value Name: MP3 Download
Sort Order: 10

Option Name: Media
Option Value Name: CD
Sort Order: 20

Then add these to the Product in the Attribute Controller:
Option Name: Media
Option Value Name: Pick a Media Method (or some such wording)
Sort Order 0
Default: YES
Display Only: YES

Option Name: Media
Option Value Name: MP3 Download
Sort Order: 10

Option Name: Media
Option Value Name: CD
Sort Order: 20
Weight: 2.5 (or whatever the weight is for the CD if you ship by weight)

What the Pick a Media Method (or some such wording) does is force the customer to pick what they "really" want, the Download or the CD ...

Thanks Ajeh you really helped me!! I managed to do it the way you described. If you had artists and their albums, would you create categories for each artist and then create subcategories (or products) in each category for each album or would you just present the albums as individual products?? The reason I am asking this is that I cannot attach any music as a sample through the media manager if I have created categories?!.... I can only attach it to products...?...
