How to remove sample text from "documents" page?

I am sorry if this has been covered somewhere before.

I am sure it has, but I can not find it anywhere.

How do I remove the sample text on the Documents main page:

"Documents can now be added to the category tree. For example you may want to add servicing/Technical documents. Or use Documents as an integrated FAQ system on your site. The implemetation here is fairly spartan, but could be expanded to offer PDF downloads, links to purchaseable download files. The possibilities are endless and left to your imagination."

Any input would be appreciated!

Re: How to remove sample text from "documents" page?

Anyone want to try to point me in the right direction here?

I have downloaded my entire site and searched with wingrep...

Nothing :lamo:

I am either stupid or blind....but I have no idea where to look for this text.

Anyone?

The only place I see that text is in the product description for the test documents product (which would mean it's stored in the database). It's not default text for all documents pages, like in the define pages.

Re: How to remove sample text from "documents" page?

Thank you very much for your reply stevesh..

Looking at the source code through a web browser:

*<div class="centerColumn" id="indexProductList">

<h1 id="productListHeading">Documents</h1> <div id="categoryImgListing" class="categoryImg"><img src="images/categories/subcategory.gif" alt="" width="57" height="32" /></div> <div id="indexProductListCatDescription" class="content">Documents can now be added to the category tree. For example you may want to add servicing/Technical documents. Or use Documents as an integrated FAQ system on your site. The implemetation here is fairly spartan, but could be expanded to offer PDF downloads, links to purchaseable download files. The possibilities are endless and left to your imagination.</div>*

Does the tag "indexProductListCatDescription" give any clue to where the text is located in the database?

I have been looking around the admin area without finding anything yet..

As you can tell I am no expert on Zen-Cart so I might be missing something simple here...

Re: How to remove sample text from "documents" page?

If you go to Admin - Catalog - Categories/Products, is there a Documents folder? If so, that text should be in the description box of the second of the products there. I assume you have the demo products loaded.

Re: How to remove sample text from "documents" page?

Yes! Fixed it....

It was of course very simple

The thing that tricked me was the fact that this text did not show up before I added a second document to my site..

After adding the first document I would get that up directly when going to the documents page.
But after adding a second document a new page was automatically implemented as a documents meny, and the documents category page changed..

Each time I would go in the admin area, and select the documents category I would come directly to the "sub" documents...
I had to hit the edit button on the main documents category, and finally found this had changed...

He he, kind of embarrasing...
Anyways, thanks for your help!
