Shipping Table not calculating correctly

What I want is to charge $3 for any one item, $4 for 2, $5 for 3-10 and $* for any greater number. Here is what I have in the table:

1:3.00,2:4:00,3:5.00,10:5.00, 100:8:00

One item = $3, two =$4 but the rest are wrong, 3 items=$10

I tried 1:3.00,2:4:00,10:5.00,100:8:00, 3 items ship for $100.00!!

How should this be set up? I do not expect more than a dozen items at any time.

Re: Shipping Table not calculating correctly

Have you checked out your Tare Rates (admin Customization->Shipping/Packaging)? The default values will blow your ship-weight way up (I've set both of mine to 0:0). Also, for debug, turn "Display Number of Boxes and Weight Status" to 3 (both Boxes and Weight). That willl let you see what inputs your shipping provider is getting.

I have the Boxes and Weight set already. Reduced Tare to 0:0, but I don't use weight for calculations (I don't think...)
I have just changed to by item with a 2.00 handling for now, it's simple and it works.
