Wrong sales amount comes up in the store

Wrong sales amount comes up in the store/cart when the product comes up on the store.
I wrote 400 euros gross price, but on my store it shows €296.52.

What did I do wrong?

Do you have Admin - Localization - Currencies set to 'euro' as the default?

... and though it is default, is its VALUE set to 1.000000000 ?

Set its value to 1.000000000 and then "Update" currencies.
