Renamed admin folder Oddity

I renamed an admin folder and it renamed successfully but I just noticed there is the renamed admin folder and another folder named "admin" too. I've never seen this happen before. The only thing in the second admin folder is the includes folder with the configure file.

The renamed folder looks like it has all folders and files, including the configure file.

Why would this happen? Can I safely delete the "admin" ?

Try renaming the 'admin' to something else (different from your Zen Cart Admin) and see what happens first - if things don't break anywhere, then you should be safe deleting it

I did that and it doesn't seem to be a problem. I'll explore the site some more to see if there are any buried problems before I delete it. Thank you. :-)
