where do I put robots text in meta tag

I notice a lot of sites has this <meta name="robots" content="index,follow">

where would i list this in my webpages at.

The instruction is pointless to search engines and means nothing. Search engines look for noindex and nofollow only. If they see nothing, then they (might) index and follow

You do not need to do anything except populate the meta data (if you want to... no rule that says you have to).

Lots of posts about meta tags...
