Free Shipping after ordering 2 or more items?

I;m using v1.3.8a of ZC and my client wants it where if you order one item, it's a flat rate of $2.99 for shipping. If someone orders two or more items, the shipping is free. Pretty simple. So I went to the Shipping Modules area and turned on the Per Item module and set the price to 2.99. Then I went to the Free Shipping Options area and set Item Count >= 1. I go test and order and in the shipping area I get both the Free Shipping and Per Item rates. And Free Shipping is checked off but I've only ordered one item! How do I set it where the Free Shipping option isn't even there until someone orders two items or more?

Could you post the exact settings you see in the Modules ... Shipping ... when you click once on the Free Shipping Options freeoptions shipping module that are displayed in the right side panel?

You have 1 too many settings ...

Total >=
0.00

Set that to a blank ... as it is saying when the Total of the Order is >= 0.00 which is always true ... :smile:

Re: Free Shipping after ordering 2 or more items?

Yep, that was the solution....to a point. When I add one item to the cart, the free shipping doesn't show up. Good. However, once I go to two or more items I get both the Free Shipping as well as the per item charge as options. Can't I Just kill the per item option so they just have and only have free shipping?

Re: Free Shipping after ordering 2 or more items?

This is where you can make a choice ... leave as is and the customer can pick Free Shipping or your Item Rate ...

You can name them something else like:
Ground Shipping
Slow Boat to China

Or, you need to customize the Item Rate item shipping module and disable the $this->enabled when there is more than quantity 1 in the cart ...

Re: Free Shipping after ordering 2 or more items?

That is correct ... you would need it to test in the item.php file for how much is in the cart and if >= 2 then to set the $this->enabled to false so it turns of the shipping module if you do not want both displayed ...
