Difficulty Installing Zen Cart Template - Bare Bones

I downloaded a Zen Cart template (Bare Bones) and am having a heck of a time getting it to install. ZC is installed correctly (v. 1.3.8a), and it displays the default template beautifully.

However, I can't find any good instructions for installing the template. I searched the forum and FAQ, and found a lot on tweaking the default template to make it a custom template, but nothing on d/l new templates and installing them.

I have Googled "how to install a Zen Cart template." One of the articles I read seemed straightforward, but I followed the steps and they did not work (when I went to Tools --> Template Selection, the only available template was the classic default). A lot of the other search results are a tutorial with screen shots so poor in quality that you can't read the names of folders to see where you are supposed to put things.

Has anyone ever installed a template? Is there a guide somewhere in the ZC documentation? I am finding it really easy to set up products, categories, prices, etc. I just want to change the look of my store.

That one is a little different from most. You'll need to create your custom template folder(s) (https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=142), then edit the template_info.php to reflect the name of your template (replacing the text Bare Bones) and place the file in includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE_NAME. Then place the stylesheet.css file from the mod in/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE_NAME/css.

Zencart looks at the template_info.php files (when they are in the main template folder) and adds that template to the admin template selector.
