How to show which items ship free?

Hi All,

Hope I can explain myself well enough. I would like to offer certain items on my site for Free Shipping. I was able to make it work however, I was wondering if I can take it a step further and set it up so that the customer can see in her shopping cart which items where charged shipping and which ones weren't.

For example, currently I have

Product A- Normal Shipping rate applies
Product B- Free Shipping (notice is added to Product Info Page)

Currently, when she checks out, she will see one total with the shipping rate.

Anyway, of setting it up so she sees on the checkout page:

Product A- $5 Parcel Post
Product B- $0 (or Free Shipping)

So there is no confusion to whether or not she is getting the correct shipping rate when she checks out.

One way I know of is setting the product type for the item under Product - Free Shipping
When creating/adding a new product, there's a drop down menu next to it, each basically is set up to show different things in the product page for different types of products. You'll want to set it to Product - Free Shipping before clicking the new product button and there's a feature in there that allow the "always free shipping" image to appear. You can also set this for some of the other product types by going under Catalog>Product Types and making adjustments to them, but this would change it for all items listed under that product type so it's not recommended.
You can set a whole category or sub category as Product - Free Shipping only so that when you make new products it'll only be that type. You can do this after creating a new category and going back to edit it. You'll scroll down below the save/cancel buttons at the bottom and there will be an option for restriction of product type there. Simply set it to the product type you want and from then on when you add to that category, you'll only see that product type option.
