Re: Flash in main page

Your template has added class "bg_inner911" and this is not a default class...
?I am guessing that the template has a custom tpl_main_psge.php and this is where ypu might have to add the flash code...
As a custom template - you will not locate a step by step

Re: Flash in main page

If you are refering to the picture that is actually a banner, Yes.

To replace the picture with the swf file, the only difference is that you will need to use an "embed script" to make it function.

ie/

<object width="585" height="310"> <param name="movie" value="/images/banner.swf"> <embed src="/images/banner.swf" width="585" height="310"> </embed> </object>

this is one I use, change the size to your actual sizes and change the name of the swf file to yours.

Place this code in the html text section. Do not populate the image section with anything.

No body?

It's simple, looking at your page code you seam to be using the banner three space for your front image. So, use the banner manager and create the flash banner by placing whatever flash code you're using into the text box. Use the same banner group name you are currently using for banner three, save it.

Check Configuration->Layout Settings and make sure banner three has the same banner group name in it that you used on the flash banner.

Be sure to disable your current banner or they will take turns on showing up on the front page.

I use the same technique to roll banners both flash and images.

If you need more help on using the banner manager, look at the Tutorials/FAQ link at the top of this page...

Your main image is "banner2"

  1. Go to Tools/Developers Tool Kit
  2. Type "banner2" or copy/paste to "Look-up in all files" & select "All Files - Catalog/Admin.

You will see your location of the exact file you need to edit.

Refer to Qdixon:

replace yr <img src="includes/templates/xxx/images/xxx.jpg" class="home-image" />
remember upload your swf to your server desire folder.

to

<object width="585" height="310"> <param name="movie" value="/images/banner.swf"> <embed src="/images/banner.swf" width="585" height="310"> </embed> </object>

i have done it. you can view the my main page : check it out

Cheers.

And thanks Qdixon i'm able to do it.

These are not files - - But are in your DB

admin > tools > banner manager > select the banner

Yes it;s on my database, strange. If you go to my site https://www.carbon-aramid.com you will see the banner.
