Pointing Categories to new Page

Am wanting to create a wesbite along the lines of www.balloonsweb.co.uk.....If you choose eg Boys Clothes from top menu or a designer choice from the LH menu it goes to a different page and THEN displays the further sub categories and products.
Is this site a ZEN site I wonder? If so how do I throw the pages / categories in a similar way?

thanks
