main page is suddenly aligned left. HELP!

My home page suddenly alignes to the left instead of the center of my screen. It happened when I updated one of the sideboxes, but I don't see any reason why there should have been a connection.

Anyone else have any problems like this? I'm sorry if this is a simple question, but I've searched the archives and all over google and can't find a thing!

Note: the problem only occurs in internet explorer - mozilla and google chrome are fine.

my web editor adds BOM marks to the pages it works with, and I just removed them - that seemed to fix the problem.

anyone know how to change the settings on Microsoft Expression Web so that it doesn't include BOM? Or Dreamweaver, for that matter? (I use both).

The real answer is not to use WYSIWYG editors with Zencart. A good FTP client and a good text editor (even Notepad) is all you need and won't cause the problems you're having with added, unnecessary stuff.

I use filezilla for my ftp client - is that sufficient?

As far as using notepad, my html knowledge is pretty weak. I know enough to get the site looking the way I want it to in the main editor, and then go back to look at the code and understand what is where, but I definitely would have my hands full creating a site from scratch on notepad.
