What is Zend

I got this Zend link from the wiki page for Developers.

So I went to the Zend site, but am a bit confused :mellow:

What exactly is Zend, is that what they use to develop Zen-Cart? Any insight that anyone can provide is helpful, ty.

NO,,, this is doesn't do anything with Zen-Cart.

Zend is software used by the Server. For example it will allow script creators, if they so choose, to encrypt their coding. It has other functions as well and that is just one example.

Do not worry or be concerned about Zend. It is handled by your Hoster.
