Payment options based on customer type

Hi - I wonder if anyone could assist....

I am trying to set up my store and have encountered a problem that I cant resolve. Is there anyway of forcing what payment type is used based on the customer type?

I have two customer types - Invoice only and those I would like to use credit cards. The Invoice only customers are pre-set up as they are "constant" customers and as such are invoiced.

For those that don't belong to that group I would like them only to have a credit card payment option.

Do you think this is possible?

Sure. Set up 2 Customer Discount Groups, with 0% discount.
Then customize both payment modules to be disabled if the customer is not a member of the required group.
