Transferring site from one cpanel to another

Hi,

I'm attempting to transfer a zencart store from one cpanel to another.

The version with the other host was 1.3.7 and upgraded to 1.3.8. I ran the zc_install and upgraded the database only.

When I got to the site, I see a white page saying "Hello. Thank you for loading Zen Cart." on the cart/index.php page.

I've checked both configure.php files and both have the same information.

Any ideas on the problem?

Thank you in advance!!!

Re: Transferring site from one cpanel to another

  1. One should never upgrade while in the midst of moving between servers. It's always best to upgrade either before OR after the move, but not during.

  2. Proper move procedure: https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=100

  3. Proper upgrade procedure: https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=98

  4. "Hello, thank you for loading ..." appears under the circumstances listed on that page. Most likely your database and grants aren't valid or the config files not readable. Best to follow the standard procedures.
