ChangingBackground color of Catagories content Box

Whenever I change the background color of my Left side catagories content box from white to #B0C4DE it changes the background of all my boxes left and right. All I want is the left side content box of Catagories content to change not all of them. What am I doing wrong? i am using the Stylesheet.css which is located in my Custom Override directory.:frusty:
Thanks,
Bob

Re: ChangingBackground color of Catagories content Box

Where is your site?
This is template specific in many cases

You did not include what you changed???

Re: ChangingBackground color of Catagories content Box

I've got the under construction posted but you can still see the left side catagory column, which is white background at present.

my site is at http://30408.vws.magma.ca/TTEZENCART

The catagories box is the only thing I want to change background color.
Thanks for your help.

Re: ChangingBackground color of Catagories content Box

It just won't take. I've added catagoriesContent to the stylesheet and it won't even add a background color.
The only one that will add a background color is the navColumnOne, and that to bothe the left side and the right side boxes. My stylesheet has a rightsideBoxContent but no LeftsideBoxContent.
Tried adding that as well and I get a completely re-designed page.
So I really don't know. I have gone through the entire Stylsheet and tried it on several titles with no success. Do I really have to build a template for this?
Thanks,
Bob

It worked when I tested it on your site. I just tested it again and it still works.

And if you are customizing the stylesheet, you are building a template:)

Re: ChangingBackground color of Catagories content Box

Here is what I put on the stylesheet, I placed it above the #mainwrapper ;

#catagoriesContent {
background-color: #B0C4DE;
}

I entered & saved info on my cofffeecup HTMl and then from filezilla I uploaded it to my stylesheet file in my custom directory.

It still doesn't work for me. I've also tried other background changes etc to make sure that stylesheet is working and am able to do all other things except this.
I appreciate your patience and info.

Re: ChangingBackground color of Catagories content Box

It should work there, as I tested it above the body rule (the most unsafe place to put a new rule).

Spelling is critical. You need to use an "e" instead of "a":```
#catagoriesContent {
background-color: #B0C4DE;
}

Re: ChangingBackground color of Catagories content Box

Good Morning Glenn,
I figure I'd recontact you since you seem to be completely knowledgeable of this Zen cart program.

On my site when you click on contact us link, you will notice that all the right column boxes are included in the eMail and contact us info.

Question Why? and how do I stop that from happening
Thanks again,
Bob
