move add to cart and cart goes blank

I moved the add to cart code in tpl_product_info_display.php to go underneath my attributes section. I copy the tpl_product_info_display.php file to my templates directory for my custom template. Instead of the add to cart button being moved, my cart goes blank. What could be causing this issue?

That's what I initially thought. I did it a few times with the same results. All of the code is being moved.

So I decided to try something else. I moved the attributes code in the same way as I moved the cart code, and that worked.
