Email Archive Manager not logging all emails

Hi, I just installed the Email Archive Manager and tested out an order. It recorded all emails perfectly, except for the CC email. [EXTRA CC ORDER info]

The reason I've put in the Email Archive Manager is I want a failsafe for collecting the CC # should email from the server fail. It doesn't look good when we have to contact the customer for their Credit Card number again - some wouldn't even email that kind of information.

Is there a way to turn on logging for ALL email so it captures the [EXTRA CC ORDER info] emails? My client does not use real time Card processing so it is essential to get these. Any help would be appreciated!

Re: Email Archive Manager not logging all emails

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!!!!

It is absolutely forbidden to store complete credit card information in a database stored on a server connected to the internet. If you were to store those emails, you would be putting yourself at serious liability risk if fraud were ever to occur.

If you want a proper "failsafe", use a live real-time processing gateway instead of keying manually.

The system has been specifically coded to NOT store the credit card info emails.

Re: Email Archive Manager not logging all emails

If it's forbidden, then many stores must be way out of compliance. I've known quite a few shopping cart models that store CC#

Also, as I said in my original post, the client does not do real time orders. That Is The Way It Is, so I am having to find solutions within that situation.

That's right - many are. If some data breach occurs, they'll be out of business at best. If you figure out a way to do this, you may be liable as well in case a problem occurs.

If he's using Zencart, there's no reason he can't use a real-time processor. If I were in your position, I would explain the possible trouble he's now placing himself in, and find a away to encourage him to switch to a better method.
