subdirectory to root

Ok I am thinking before I upload any more of my images, I will need to move my cart from the subdirectory to the root directory.

I have tried this and it is not as easy as I had hoped - jut the act of moving the folders from the cart folder to the root directory has been bit trick
but I am also sure I will have to reconfigure my files along with my images.

I believe i saw a tutorial on this but can not seem to find it again.
Can anyone point? TIA

You can do it but make sure you change the URL in configuration file from subfolder to root directory. Also check the .htaccess.

Moving the folders and files should just be a 5-second matter of dragging and dropping in your FTP client. What problems did you have?

I copied off the tutorial and was going thru a dry run.
Went into the Admin>config> and was shocked to see that the session directory was set on the computer path instead of my website path - the website is working and I had run the fix cache when I origianlly uploaded it.
